JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles and YOSHIKI jointly present “yoshikitty” dolls during the "Yes, KAWAII is Art -EXPRESS YOURSELF-" exhibition currently open in Hollywood. The limited-time display from May 16 to August 31, 2024, marks the U.S. debut of the first Sanrio character to be modeled after a real person – YOSHIKI.
YOSHIKI was welcomed by fans and MLB Players Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto. It was also announced that YOSHIKI will compose the global theme song for Hello Kitty's 50th Anniversary this year

yoshikitty has been selected to compete in the global Sanrio Character Ranking for the tenth straight year with Hello Kitty and other popular characters. yoshikitty is the first Sanrio character to be modeled after a real person, YOSHIKI. Voting runs from April 11 at 11:00am JST through May 26 at 5:00pm JST. Fans can support yoshikitty by voting every day from all their devices.
